New Kids on the Block: The Next Generation of Nonprofit Service Providers

People believe that it’s the little things in life that matter the most, so where are all of the service providers that work with small nonprofits?

Well, on June 18th they were in Portland, Oregon at the Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO): Nonprofit Fundraising Tech Fair.  The WVDO Technology Fair was a day-long event for nonprofits with budgets under $5,000,000. The fair was held by WVDO, a member-based organization that is open to anyone who engages in professional fundraising activities with the goal to improve non-profits and the communities they serve. The fair featured numerous vendors who focus on helping small and growing nonprofits.

We’re sharing insights about a few the vendors that participated:

ImPACTFLOW

A new company out of Portland, Oregon, ImpactFlow’s mission is to make it easier for nonprofits to connect with businesses who can help them expand their reach.  ImpactFlow at it’s core is a marketplace that connects nonprofits with businesses, corporate sponsors, and potential donors.  They are currently working with organizations in the Northwest Coast, but are expanding to California and beyond soon!

ActionSprout

ActionSprout is a Facebook app that allows users to take action without having to leave the social networking site, in order to improve activity completion and social sharing. When a user completes an action using the Facebook app, the nonprofit organization is automatically sent their information in order to cultivate deeper relationships on and off of Facebook.
