#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
With one week to go, you still have time to get involved!
Below, we’ve rounded up the excellent tips and resources provided by GivingTuesday.org to help you get started.
And, if you’re an existing partner of Flipcause, we already added a campaign template into your account for you. Contact your Success Team if we can help making any adjustments or publishing it on your website!
WHAT TO DO TODAY
- Decide how your organization will participate in #GivingTuesdayNow
- Send your save the date email. It does not have to include details on your campaign yet.
- Set up some social media posts to announce that your organization is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow (Grab copy and graphics from the links above or click to tweet)
- Come up with your compelling call to action. What will you want your followers, supporters, and ambassadors to do on May 5, 2020? To get your wheels spinning, here are a few examples of what others are planning:
- A group of volunteers in Los Angeles are delivering tacos to first responders, hospital staff, and front line workers.
- A nonprofit in Hawaii is going to use the day to launch a monthly giving program and to thank.
- A university in Texas is setting up an emergency fund for students who need help during COVID-19 with anything from food to housing to tuition.
